Deer carcasses found dismembered,
disemboweled on side of New Franklin road/Ohio

Deer carcasses found dismembered, disemboweled on side of New Franklin road/Ohio
Police in northeast Ohio have no leads in solving a Friday the 13th mystery involving the dumping of several dismembered deer carcasses alongside a road.
The Akron Beacon Journal reports the mutilated and disemboweled remains of at least three deer were discovered on the side of a road in New Franklin last Friday morning.
Police say the does were found wrapped in duct tape and they didn't appear to be killed for meat.
Investigators believe someone harvested organs from the animals before they were left on the side of the road. Lt. Ed Klein said the case doesn't look normal.
Police Lt. Ed Klein said on Monday that the department was notified about the gruesome scene at about 9 a.m. Friday, but investigators have no leads to resolve the mysterious incident.
“Somebody dumped them there,” he said. “It doesn’t look normal.”
He said animal control was called to collect the carcasses.
The Ohio Division of Natural Resources Division of Wildlife has been notified.

Chattanooga Shooting Reignites Gun Control Debate After Mohammad Youssef Abdulazeez Used AK-47 Style Assault Weapon To Kill American Service Members.
(Video Below)

Chattanooga Shooting
For those who have been at the forefront of the recent push for heightened restrictions on gun access, July 16 2015's violence has re-energized both sides of the long-standing debate over gun control.
“As the details continue to unfold in Tennessee, it is already clear that this is another reminder of the work that needs to be done to keep guns out of the hands of dangerous people,” said the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence, a nationwide organization calling for stricter gun control measures, said in a statement shortly after the shooting. “We owe it to the men and women at our military installations, our communities and the 89 people killed every day by guns to take action now," the statement read.
Mohammad Youssef Abdulazeez’s 30-minute shooting rampage unfolded at at two separate military centers in Chattanooga Tennessee.
Investigators seized four guns after Mohammad Youssuf Abdulazeez killed five American Service Members and wounded two other people at military offices in Chattanooga, a law enforcement official said.
Abdulazeez had a handgun and two long guns in his possession when police in the Tennessee city killed him Thursday, and another rifle was seized when police searched his home.
It does not appear that the weapons were purchased recently, a law enforcement official said. "Some of the weapons were purchased legally and some of them may not have been." said Ed Reinhold, special agent in charge of the regional FBI office.
Abdulazeez attacked a military recruiting station in a shopping plaza and a Naval reserve office seven miles away, killing five American Service Members and wounding a Chattanooga police officer, a another person.
He was not known to have trouble with the law except for a DUI arrest in April. He apparently was not active on social media -- one of the common ways police investigate terrorism.

Jim Carrey's Ultra Crazy anti-Vaccine Rants.

The Truth About Vaccines

Anti-Vac Jim Carrey
Weird News 2 July, 2015
Make no mistake about it. The first and foremost reason that I don't like this Anti Vaccine rant by Jim Carrey is that I really hate it when entertainers get political...on anything. I hate it even more when those entertainers are comedians. It just makes them instantly unfunny to me for ever more.
I can't say that I was a huge fan of Jim Carrey to begin with, his comedy is slapstick, and I like dry humor. So...to be truthful he will lose no money on me, but not so for the masses. He may have just retired with his weird ravings on vaccines. Science says that he is confused, and wrong, and I will always put my money on science.
In Jim Carrey's own words:

This could be the face of California's future. TOXIN FREE VACCINES, A REASONABLE REQUEST! http://bit.ly/1GLSpHf Jim Carrey ‏@JimCarrey Jun 30
California Gov says yes to poisoning more children with mercury and aluminum in manditory vaccines. This corporate fascist must be stopped.
Anti-Vac Jim Carrey
Jim Carrey ‏@JimCarrey Jun 30
They say mercury in fish is dangerous but forcing all of our children to be injected with mercury in thimerosol is no risk. Make sense?
Jim Carrey ‏@JimCarrey Jun 30
I am not anti-vaccine. I am anti-thimerosal, anti-mercury. They have taken some of the mercury laden thimerosal out of vaccines. NOT ALL!
Anti-Vac Jim Carrey
Jim Carrey ‏@JimCarrey Jun 30
The CDC can't solve a problem they helped start. It's too risky to admit they have been wrong about mercury/thimerasol. They are corrupt.
What Has Mr. Carrey All Upset?
Dr. Paul Offit, director of the Vaccine Education Center at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. said that Mr. Carrey's insistence on making an issue out of a non-issue, like the "supposed" dangers of the preservative thimerosal actually is an anti-vaccine position, Offit explained. By Offit's count, there are several high-quality studies that show thimerosal in vaccines does not cause autism or developmental delays in the children who receive them.
Some vaccines, including certain flu vaccines, still contain trace amounts of thimerosal. Mr. Carrey likened this chemical to the methylmercury found in fish, which is a neurotoxin and can cause serious damage to people if ingested in large amounts.
Methylmercury and the ethylmercury used to preserve vaccines are two very different things, said Offit. For one, everyone is exposed to methylmercury. It builds up in the body over a lifetime of exposure, and too much of it can cause nervous damage and permanent disability. Ethylmercury, on the other hand, is a byproduct the human body makes when processing thimerosal. It does not remain in the body for long amounts of time.
What Scared Some Parents?
In the year 2000, reaction to parental outrage over mercury in vaccines, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention announced that they were removing the chemical in most childhood vaccines. Dr. Offit, who served on the Advisory Committee for Immunization Practices at the time, voted against it. In caving to unscientific fears about thimerosal, said Offit, the CDC's decision to remove the additive may have actually alarmed parents more, not reassured them, when it came to vaccination safety.
"I think they unnecessarily scared the American public about thimerosal," said Offit. "They caved to the perception that mercury just doesn't sound good, instead of trying to educate the public that the quantity of mercury you're being exposed to in a vaccine is infinitely less than anything that you're exposed to elsewhere."
In short, and to agree with Dr. Offit: Jim Carrey is not a doctor, he is not a scientist, he is an actor. Personally I believe that he is an actor using his prestige to wrongly influence people, and that is dangerous.
Currently, CDC recommends vaccination against 16 vaccine preventable diseases for children.
Why does CDC recommend that children receive so many vaccinations?
Vaccines are our best defense against many diseases, which often result in serious complications such as pneumonia, meningitis (swelling of the lining of the brain), liver cancer, bloodstream infections, and even death. CDC recommends vaccinations to protect children against 16 infectious diseases, including measles, mumps, rubella (German measles), varicella (chickenpox), hepatitis B, diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis (whooping cough), Haemophilus influenza type B (Hib), polio, influenza (flu), and pneumococcal disease. Get The Real Facts Here

In Addition...
Everything You Need to Know About Vaccinations
* Since 1988 there have been 1,132 confirmed deaths from all vaccines. That is a very small percentage everyone who got vaccinated.
* Polio cases have decreased 99% since 1988, due to vaccines. In 1980, before widespread vaccination, measles caused an estimated 2.6 million deaths each year.
* During 2000-2013, measles vaccination prevented an estimated 15.6 million deaths.
* Vaccines, like almost every other substance, cause side effects in a small amount of the population. In rare cases these side effects require medical attention.
* In 2013 the vaccine market was about $25 billion, about $3 billion from the flu vaccine alone. To put this in perspective, healthcare spending was $2.8 trillion in 2013.
* Vaccine sales are small portion of worldwide pharmaceutical company revenues, an average of less than 2.5% (.3% from flu shots) Even the "Big Three" flu vaccine manufacturers make less than 4.5% of their total corporate revenues from the vaccine.
* Other pharmaceutical products have up to 10% greater gross profits than vaccines (average of 3%).
* Big Phrama would make more money not having to create vaccines (mostly due to shipping and spoil loss associated with vaccines).
* Literally hundreds of thousands of people die every year due to diseases preventable by vaccination, comparatively in 1918 as many as 50 million died from the Spanish flu.

The truth about Dylann Roof Confessed Killer of 9 People at AME Church, Charleston, South Carolina
(Video Below)

Weird News 19 June, 2015
Suspect Dylann Roof has allegedly confessed to killing nine people at the Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church in Charleston, South Carolina according to a law enforcement source briefed on the investigation.
Dalton Tyler, who said he has known Roof for seven months to one year, said he met Roof through a good friend. He also said Roof's parents, with whom he said the suspect was "on and off," had previously bought him a gun but never allowed him to take it with him until the week of the shootings.
"He was big into segregation and other stuff," Tyler said. "He said he wanted to start a civil war. He said he was going to do something like that and then kill himself."
Roof was among a dozen church members who were attending a Bible study at Emanuel AME, one of the nation's oldest African-American churches. He asked to sit next to the pastor, and about an hour into the meeting, opened fire on the people there. He killed six women and three men, including the pastor, the Rev. Clementa Pinckney. Three people survived.
Charleston County Coroner Rae Wilson said Thursday that the gunman walked into the church and didn't raise any red flags among the worshipers. "The suspect entered the group and was accepted by them, as they believed that he wanted to join them in this Bible study," she said. Then, "he became very aggressive and violent."
A survivor said that the shooter "reloaded five different times, and he just said, I have to do it. You rape our women and you're taking over our country. And you have to go."
Roof had two prior arrests earlier this year after he was stopped at a Columbia shopping mall and was found with suboxone, a type of narcotic used to treat opiate addictions, police reports show. He was taken into custody on a drug charge, and then again the following month for trespassing at the mall.
Roof's uncle said that he had received a .45-caliber handgun from his father for his birthday in April.
Joseph Meek Jr. said that slaying suspect Dylann Roof recently went on a rant about the Trayvon Martin case and riots in Baltimore over the death of a black man in police custody. The two were childhood friends and recently reconnected over Facebook. "He said blacks were taking over the world. Someone needed to do something about it for the white race," Meek told the AP. "He said he wanted segregation between whites and blacks. I said, 'That's not the way it should be.' But he kept talking about it."
Police said Roof was arrested today at a traffic stop in Shelby, North Carolina, about 250 miles north of Charleston.
A citizen saw the suspect's car and reported it to police, who responded and made the arrest, police said. Roof cooperated with the officer who stopped him, according to police.
He has been charged with nine counts of murder and a weapons possession charge, police said.
Roof has told police that he "almost didn't go through with it because everyone was so nice to him," And yet he decided he had to "go through with his mission." Please watch the Video, and let me know what you think.

The World's Water Crisis

The World's Water Crisis
Weird News 18 June, 2015
1/3rd of Earth's largest groundwater basins are rapidly being depleted.
These are Groundwater storage trends for Earth's 37 largest aquifers from a U C I-led study using NASA GRACE data from the years (2003 - 2013). Of these, 21 have exceeded sustainability tipping points and are being depleted, with 13 considered significantly distressed, threatening regional water security and resilience.
The research team - which included co-authors from NASA, the National Center for Atmospheric Research, National Taiwan University and UC Santa Barbara found that the Arabian Aquifer System, an important water source for more than 60 million people, is the most overstressed in the world.
The Indus Basin aquifer of northwestern India and Pakistan is the second-most overstressed, and the Murzuk-Djado Basin in northern Africa is third. California's Central Valley, used heavily for agriculture and suffering rapid depletion, was slightly better off, but was still labeled highly stressed in the first study.
Scientists conclude that the total remaining volume of the world's usable groundwater is poorly known, with estimates that often vary widely. The total groundwater volume is likely far less than rudimentary estimates made decades ago. By comparing their satellite-derived groundwater loss rates to what little data exist on groundwater availability, the researchers found major discrepancies in projected "time to depletion." In the overstressed Northwest Sahara Aquifer System, for example, time to depletion estimates varied between 10 years and 21,000 years.
"We don't actually know how much is stored in each of these aquifers. Estimates of remaining storage might vary from decades to millennia," says Alexandra Richey, head author of both studies. "In a water-scarce society, we can no longer tolerate this level of uncertainty, especially since groundwater is disappearing so rapidly."
The study notes that the dearth of groundwater is already leading to significant ecological damage, including depleted rivers, declining water quality and subsiding land.
Groundwater aquifers are typically located in soils or deeper rock layers beneath Earth's surface. The depth and thickness of many large aquifers make it tough and costly to drill or otherwise reach bedrock and understand where the moisture bottoms out. But it has to be done, the authors say.
Meanwhile the world's water rights are being bought up. A disturbing trend in the water sector is accelerating worldwide. The new "water barons" - the Wall Street banks and elitist multibillionaires - are buying up water all over the world at unprecedented pace. They are consolidating their control over water. As a growing population stresses the world's food and water supplies, these corporations and investors in wealthy countries are buying up foreign farmland and the freshwater.
From Sudan to Indonesia, most of the land lies in poverty-stricken regions, so experts warn that this widespread purchasing could expand the gap between developed and developing countries.
The "water grabbing" by corporations amounts to 454 billion cubic meters per year globally, according to a new study by environmental scientists. That's about 5 percent of the water the world uses annually.
Who's buying the water?
Most international land deals involve a tangle of different corporations and partnerships. A handful of the purchasers are countries, but most are investment firms, biofuel producers or large-scale farming operations. Closely mirroring the top water grabbers, the top five countries by amount of land purchased since 2000 were the United States, Malaysia, the United Kingdom, China and the United Arab Emirates, according to Land Matrix data. U.S. companies have grabbed about 777 million acres since 2000.
The report predicts global water demand will increase 55 per cent by 2050, while reserves dwindle. If current usage trends don't change, the world will have only 60 per cent of the water it needs in 2030, it said. View the Video.

The RMS Titanic
The British passenger liner that sank in the North Atlantic Ocean in the early morning of 15 April 1912 after colliding with an iceberg during her maiden voyage from Southampton, UK to New York City, US.
The sinking resulted in the loss of more than 1,500 passengers and crew making it one of the deadliest commercial peacetime maritime disasters in modern history.
10 April 1912 Set Sail!
Under the command of Edward Smith, the ship's passengers included some of the wealthiest people in the world, as well as hundreds of emigrants from Great Britain and Ireland, Scandinavia and elsewhere throughout Europe seeking a new life in North America. During Titanic's design, entirely new features were added which had never been seen before. A swimming pool, Turkish Baths, Squash courts and a gym were provided.
The first class public rooms included a dining saloon, reception room, restaurant, lounge, reading and writing room, smoking room and the veranda cafes and palm courts.
Reading and Writing Room
This room was really designed for use by traveling first class women. It was painted in white and furnished very elegantly. A La Carte Restaurant The restaurant served the finest meals all of which were not included in the fares of its guests.
11:40 p.m. April 14, 1912
Titanic hits an iceberg, and sinks just over two and a half hours later.
Originally, a lifeboat drill was scheduled to take place on board the Titanic on April 14, 1912 the day the Titanic hit the iceberg.
From the time the lookouts sounded the alert, the officers on the bridge had only 37 seconds to react before the Titanic hit the iceberg.
Most of the lifeboats that were launched off the Titanic were not filled to capacity.
When the Titanic began sending out distress signals, the Californian, rather than the Carpathia, was the closest ship; yet the Californian did not respond until it was much too late to help.
1st September 1985
The wreck was finally located, 13.2 miles (21.2 km) from the inaccurate position transmitted by Titanic  's crew while the ship was sinking, by a joint French- American expedition led by Jean-Louis Michel of IFREMER and Robert Ballard of the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution.
The Titanic was warned that there were icebergs in the area, and even of some very big ones. But the men in the birds nest didn't see the actual hunk they hit until it was too late. Today, there are ice patrolling aircraft and radar to keep an eye on the floating giants.
The Titanic's unlucky passengers also had to contend with a lifeboat shortage. Today, all ships must have enough life boats and life jackets to save everyone. Crews also aren't allowed to skip the lifeboat drill to go to church, like they did on the Titanic.
Over 1,500 people died on the Titanic

The Truth Behind The Dozier School For Boys.
(Video Below)

The Dozier School For Boys
Weird News 17 March, 2015
The Dozier School for Boys, also known as the The Florida School for Boys, was a reform school operated by the state of Florida in the town of Marianna from January 1, 1900, to June 30, 2011.
For a while, it was the largest juvenile reform institution in the United States. A second campus was opened in the town of Okeechobee in 1955. Throughout its 111-year history, the school gained a reputation for abuse, beatings, rapes, torture, and even murder of students by staff. Despite periodic investigations, changes of leadership, and promises to improve, the allegations of cruelty and abuse continued. Many of the allegations were confirmed by separate investigations by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement in 2010 and the Civil Rights Division of the United States Department of Justice in 2011. State authorities closed the school permanently in June 2011.
From its opening until the 1980s, the Marianna site was an open campus without any perimeter fencing. The site was originally divided into two sub-campuses, South Side or "Number 1", for white students, and North Side, or "Number 2", for "colored" students, who were segregated from white students until 1966. A cemetery was located in the North Side, which contains the graves of more than 50 deceased students.
At the time of the Justice Department investigation in 2010-2011, Dozier was a fenced, 159-acre "high-risk" residential facility for 104 boys aged 13 to 21 who had been committed there by a court; their average length of stay at Dozier was nine to twelve months. They lived in several cottages, with each boy having an unlocked room. Next door was the Jackson Juvenile Offender Center, a "maximum-risk" facility for chronic offenders guilty of felonies or violent crimes, which housed residents in single, locked cells like a prison.
In 1903, an inspection reported that children at the school were commonly kept in leg irons. A fire in a dormitory at the school in 1914 killed six inmates and two staff members.
In 1968, Florida Governor Claude Kirk said, after a visit to the school where he found overcrowding and poor conditions, that "somebody should have blown the whistle a long time ago." At this time, the school housed 564 boys, some for offenses as minor as school truancy, running away from home, or "incorrigibility". They ranged in age from ten to sixteen years old. Officially, corporal punishment at the school was banned in August 1968.
In 1982, an inspection revealed that some of the boys at the school were "hogtied and kept in isolation for weeks at a time", and the ACLU filed a lawsuit over this and similar mistreatment. By this time, the school housed 105 boys aged thirteen to twenty-one.
In 1985, it was reported that young ex-inmates of the school, sentenced to jail terms for crimes committed while there, had subsequently been the victims of torture at the Jackson County jail. The method of torture was for the prison guards to handcuff the teenagers and then hang them from the bars of their cells, sometimes for over an hour. The guards stated that their superiors approved the practice and that it was routine.
In April 2007, the acting superintendent of the school and one other employee were fired following allegations of abuse of inmates.
In late 2009, the school failed its annual inspection. Among other problems, the inspection found that the school failed to deal properly with the large numbers of complaints from the boys held there, including allegations of continued mistreatment by the guards.
In a report published by the U.S. Department of Justice in 2010, 11.3% of boys surveyed at the school reported that they been subject to sexual misconduct by staff using force in the last twelve months, and 10.3% reported that they had been subject to it without the use of force. 2.2% reported sexual victimization by another inmate. The state decided to close both facilities on June 30, 2011; remaining students were sent to other juvenile justice facilities around the state.
The White House
In 1929, an 11 room concrete block detention building containing two cells (one for white, and one for black students) was constructed to house incorrigible or violent students. It was eventually nicknamed "The White House". After corporal punishment at the school was abolished in 1968, the building was used for storage. In 2008, in response to the allegations of beatings and torture that took place there, state officials sealed the building in a public ceremony, leaving a memorial plaque. It has remained empty since that time.
According to former inmates who had been incarcerated at the school in the 1950s and 1960s, who described themselves as "The White House Boys," the school became the subject of an extensive special report entitled, For Their Own Good, published by the St. Petersburg Times in 2009. Allegations focusing on the 1960s time period included claims that one room was used for whipping white boys and another for black boys. The whippings were carried out with a 3-foot-long belt made of leather and metal and were thorough enough that the recipients' underwear became embedded in their skin. One inmate said that the punishments were severe but justified; another claimed that he had seen a boy trapped in a running laundry dryer at the school and suspected the boy was killed.
One former inmate claimed that he was punished in the white house eleven times, receiving a total of over 250 lashes. Others alleged that they were whipped until they lost consciousness and that the punishments were made harsher for boys that cried. Some former inmates also claimed that there was a "rape room" at the school where they were sexually abused. The complainants said that some of the victims were as young as nine years old.
On December 9, 2008, Florida Governor Charlie Crist directed the Florida Department of Law Enforcement to investigate the allegations of abuse, torture, and murder brought forward by the White House Boys
Over one hundred interviews of former students, family members of former students, and former staff members of the school were conducted during the 15-month investigation, which produced no concrete evidence linking any of the student deaths (it was determined that the thirty-one graves at the facility had been dug between 1914 and 1952) to the actions of school staff, or that there had been attempts to conceal deaths. None of the graves were opened during the investigation.
A forensic examination of the White House building was conducted. No trace evidence of blood on the walls was found. Some former Dozier students told investigators that they felt they "needed the discipline." Troy Tidwell, who was a staff member at the school at the time, said that punishments in the white house building were not excessive and were carried out with the leather strap because there were concerns that spankings with wooden paddles might injure the boys.
In January 2010, the Department of Law Enforcement released its findings:
The interviews confirmed that school administrators used corporal punishment as a tool to encourage obedience. The interviews revealed little disagreement about the way in which corporal punishment was administered. The former students were consistent in that punishment was administered by school administrators and adult staff witnesses in the building referred to as the White House. The former students were consistent in stating that a wooden paddle or leather strap was the implement used for administering punishment. The area of disagreement amongst former students was the number of spankings administered and their severity. Although some former students stated that they were "beaten" to the point that the skin of their backsides blistered and bled profusely, there was little to no evidence of visible residual scarring. A secondary disagreement was the former students' perceptions of the punishment process. Some former students stated that their spankings caused them no psychological harm and that they learned from their mistakes while others stated that, mentally, they suffered greatly as a result and still do so to this day.
Some reports by former students stated that in addition to corporal punishment, they were also victims of sexual abuse at the hands of former staff members or other students. With the passage of over fifty years, no tangible physical evidence was found to either support or refute the allegations of physical or sexual abuse.
On March 11, 2010, State Attorney Glenn Hess announced that no criminal charges would be filed in the case.
In its December 2011 report of its investigation at the Dozier School, the Civil Rights Division of the United States Department of Justice made the following findings about staff at the school, who were cited for use of excessive force, inappropriate isolation, and extension of confinement:
The youth confined at Dozier and at JJOC were subjected to conditions that placed them at serious risk of avoidable harm in violation of their rights protected by the Constitution of the United States. During our investigation, we received credible reports of misconduct by staff members to youth within their custody. The allegations revealed systemic, egregious, and dangerous practices exacerbated by a lack of accountability and controls. . . .
These systemic deficiencies exist because State policies and generally accepted juvenile justice procedures were not being followed. We found that . . . staff did not receive minimally adequate training. We also found that proper supervision and accountability measures were limited and did not suffice to prevent undue restraints and punishments. Staff failed to report allegations of abuse to the State, supervisors, and administrators. Staff members often failed to accurately describe use of force incidents and properly record use of mechanical restraints.
Erin Kimmerle is a forensic anthropologist and University of South Florida associate professor who is leading a USF team of anthropologists, biologists, and archaeologists exploring the Marianna campus. The stories of the White House Boys piqued her interest. She was especially curious why there are no records of where those who died there are buried. Kimmerle commented, "When you look at the state hospital, the state prisons, the other state institutions at the time, there are very meticulous plot maps you can reference. Or if you are a family member today, you can say, 'Where is my great-aunt buried?' and they can show you exactly where. So, why that didn't happen here, I don't know. But that does stand out."
The team used ground-penetrating radar and excavations to identify where bodies are buried. However, in order to determine if the cause of death was from injury, illness, or murder, the bodies must be exhumed, which can be done only if a family member requests it. By December 2012, the researchers indicated that there are at least 50 graves on the grounds and that a second cemetery is likely to exist.
On August 6, 2013, Governor Rick Scott and the Florida Cabinet issued a permit allowing University of South Florida anthropologists and archaeologists to excavate and examine the remains of any and all boys buried at the Dozier site. Exhumations began on August 31; according to an Associated Press report:
Robert Straley, a spokesman for the White House Boys, said the school segregated white and black inmates and that the remains are located where black inmates were held. He suspects there is another white cemetery that hasn't been discovered. "I think that there are at least 100 more bodies up there", he said. "At some point they are going to find more bodies, I'm dead certain of that. There has to be a white graveyard on the white side."
By 26 September 2014, the remains of three boys, George Owen Smith (reported missing since 1940), Thomas Varnadoe (reportedly died of pneumonia in 1934) and Earl Wilson (died in 1944), had been identified.
George Owen Smith
August 7, 2014
University of South Florida forensic experts announced August 7, 2014 that for the first time they have identified the remains of a boy buried at the Dozier School for Boys.
The researchers said they used DNA and other tests to identify the remains of George Owen Smith, who was 14 when he disappeared from the reform school in 1940. They couldn't say how Smith died. Official records indicated 31 burials at the school, but researchers found the remains of 55 people during a four-month excavation last year.
Researchers said Smith's body was found in a hastily-buried graved wrapped only in a burial shroud. His remains' DNA matched a sample taken from his sister, Ovell Krell.
USF officials said his mother wrote the school's superintendent, Millard Davidson, in December 1940 asking about her son. She got a letter back saying no one knew where he was.
Thomas Varnadoe
A 13-year-old boy sent to the school in 1934 for "trespassing" died 38 days after arriving there.
There's a photograph of Thomas Varnadoe, a black and white family portrait taken late in 1925. Thomas is 4 years old, wearing a Peter Pan collar and breeches and he's squinting against the light. He's barefoot like his big brother, Hubert, who's standing behind Thomas. It's the only photograph of Thomas his family has.
The Hernando County sheriff came for Thomas and Hubert nine years later, in 1934. They'd been accused of stealing a typewriter from an old maid and they were charged with "malicious trespassing." They were not represented by a lawyer, nor were they tried. Their parents protested, but couldn't stop the sheriff, who shipped the boys that September north to the Marianna reformatory, which by then had a brick-making plant, printing press and farm, all of which relied on child labor.
Thirty-four days later, Thomas, 13, who left home in good health, was dead. The campus newspaper, the Yellow Jacket, reported the news under a front-page story about the school's productive dairy farm.
Thomas Varnadoe Claimed By Death
On Thursday, October 26, at 2:51 p.m., Thomas Varnadoe, age 13, succumbed to an attack of pneumonia which had been threatening his life for several days.
Thomas had been in ill health for several years, but his health seemed to be improving after his arrival at the school on September 22. On Sunday, October 21, he went to the school hospital complaining that he was feeling bad and was kept there and given medical attention. The little fellow's vitality was so greatly lowered from his protracted illness that he failed to respond readily to treatment and later developed pneumonia.
Thomas is the son of Mr. and Mrs. T.H. Varnadoe of Hernando county. Upon his arrival at the school he was placed in Cottage One, and assigned to the Yard Crew for work. He has a brother, Hubert, in Cottage Three at the present time.
Five dignitaries, all former Jackson County Chamber of Commerce "Citizen of the Year" winners, gathered in front of the county courthouse in Marianna, the same day Thomas Varnadoe died. They complained that out-of-towners were sullying their reputation. The "Citizens of the Year" blamed the media for unfairly linking Marianna and Jackson County to Dozier School. But they also defended the school and tried to discredit the former wards.

Earl Wilson was said to have been beaten to death in 1944, reportedly by four other boys while in a small confinement cottage on the property, known as the "sweat box." The other boys were convicted in his death.

The Truth about Ceres and the Lights.
Weird News 11 March, 2015
Ceres is considered a Dwarf Planet, and is the largest object in the asteroid belt, which lies between the orbits of Mars and Jupiter.
It is composed of rock and ice, is 590 miles (950 kilometers) in diameter, and comprises approximately one third of the mass of the asteroid belt. It is the only dwarf planet in the inner Solar System and the only object in the asteroid belt known to be uniquely rounded by its own gravity.
Johann Elert Bode, in 1772, first suggested that an undiscovered planet could exist between the orbits of Mars and Jupiter.
Since its discovery in 1801, Ceres was known as a planet, then an asteroid and later a dwarf planet.
NASA's Dawn spacecraft has become the first mission to achieve orbit around a dwarf planet.
From 2011 to 2012, the spacecraft explored the giant asteroid Vesta, delivering new insights and thousands of images from that distant world. Ceres and Vesta are the two most massive residents of our solar system's main asteroid belt between Mars and Jupiter.
Vesta is a rocky body, while Ceres is believed to contain large quantities of ice.
NASA's Dawn spacecraft arrived at Ceres last Friday (March 6), becoming the first probe ever to visit a dwarf planet.
Dawn is currently spiraling down to its first science orbit, which it's scheduled to reach on April 23.
The bright spot seen unresolved in Hubble images is here revealed as two distinct features inside a crater.
The image was taken by NASA's Dawn spacecraft of dwarf planet Ceres on Feb. 19 from a distance of nearly 29,000 miles (46,000 kilometers). It shows that the brightest spot on Ceres has a dimmer companion.
"Ceres' bright spot can now be seen to have a companion of lesser brightness, but apparently in the same basin. This may be pointing to a volcano-like origin of the spots, but we will have to wait for better resolution before we can make such geologic interpretations," said Chris Russell, principal investigator for the Dawn mission, based at the University of California, Los Angeles.
The most recent images received from the spacecraft, taken on March 1 show Ceres as a crescent, mostly in shadow because the spacecraft's trajectory put it on a side of Ceres that faces away from the sun until mid-April. When Dawn emerges from Ceres' dark side, it will deliver ever-sharper images as it spirals to lower orbits around the planet.

Is this the image Ghost at Pocatello High School?
(Video Below)

Ghost Captured on Video at Pocatello High School
Weird News 4 January, 2015
This most strange surveillance video from Pocatello High School in Pocatello, Idaho shows some unexplained activity haunting the halls of the High School.
On Dec. 19, while the school was closed for winter brake a few souls may have remained behind, and one of them happened to show up on camera. (Video Below)
The footage shows a dark, shadow-like figure of an adult up against the drinking fountain before it walks over to the bathroom, walks back out and down the hallway.
Nationally-renowned paranormal experts and co-founders of the Scientific Paranormal Investigative Research Organization John and Lisa Brian were sent in to investigate after multiple reports came in that someone had been tampering with the lights.
"You can see that it's not necessarily a person, but more so a translucent figure walking down the hall," John said.
Both John and Lisa said the surveillance footage is raw, and there is no possible way someone could edit surveillance footage because of legal regulations and because it's design is so secure.
Students report hearing bathroom toilets flushing, and when they go in to check it out, nobody is in there.
"We have watched it multiple times and even slowed it down and really analyzed it. It's a really great piece of footage," Lisa said. "You can just see the lights going on and off, the police were called because of these issues going on in the building - all of that just goes to show that it wasn't something someone just put on there, but instead it was something that really happened."
In 2008 the Brian's started hosting the Haunted History Tours, Pocatello High has been a hot spot because of its long history of haunting tales, stories, myths, and rumors.
"Everything from girls having a suicide pact and hanging themselves on their lockers, to a librarian who hung herself on the chandelier, to a boy who drowned in the original swimming pool," John said.
John said over the years, the crew found there were six confirmed deaths that happened at the school (such as the boy who drowned in the pool, so that's why the pool was taken out).
"We ran into an elderly woman who told us the pact was a real thing, but we haven't been able to confirm that story quite yet," John said.
The Brians said pieces of the school have been moved around since it reopened in 1917 after the fire burned it down, and so parts of the school that were once extremely haunted have moved to other parts of the building.
They said people often feel a dark shadow looming over the rafters which has spooked numerous students.
"People have even felt someone walking up right behind them where hairs have stood up on their neck and when they turn around, nobody is there," Lisa said.
Both John and Lisa said during one of their investigations, some of their equipment went missing. A week later, a janitor found their equipment perched on a window sill in one of the school's stairwells. He said the sill was so high, nobody would be able to reach it without a ladder.
"Pocatello High School has an incredible history, and so this really opens that door to be able to talk about Pocatello High School and talk about its history and the history of our town," Lisa said. "That's really important to us as well, because we want to be able to share all of that stuff since we all live here, we all love our city, and so this is kind of a cool way to open our door to some history."

Is this the image of a UFO over London?
Did a British School Boy Capture the Image of a Scottish Regiment Soldier
Weird News 2 January, 2015
London 2015: During London's fireworks display to mark
the end of 2014, a few spectators noticed the eerie green
light hovering above the London Eye during BBC New
Year's Eve coverage.
Presumed sightings of the strange and unusual are not
uncommon at this time of year, thanks to the popularity
of Chinese lanterns, fireworks, etc, but this "craft" appears
to fly in an unusual arc from behind the famous London
tourist attraction, and then it flies towards the opposite side
of the River Thames.
The footage which was posted on the internet, prompted wide
speculation whether or not it was an alien ship, though some
argued it could just be a drone.
UFO expert Nigel Watson told Metro: "What strikes me is that
whether the UFO is a camera drone or not it catches your
attention despite all the fireworks blasting off all around it..."
London's New Years Alien UFO, real footage!?!

Did a British School Boy Capture the Image of a
Scottish Regiment Soldier?

Did a British School Boy Capture the Image of a Scottish Regiment Soldier
Weird News 25 June, 2014
Mitch Glover, 14, from Leamington Spa, along with his fellow
classmates were visiting the Neuville-St Vaast German war
cemetery near Arras, in northern France. He took a number of
photographs of the cemetery in quick succession. "Our school
tour was to look at war graves as we are studying poetry of the
First World War in literature and I am doing history," Mitch said.
"I didn't feel anything at the time, I just took it. I took it in a rush.
I snapped four as I knew I could just choose the best afterwards."
Not until after the school boy came home, did he notice the translucent
figure in one of his pictures, which he says looks like a man wearing the
uniform of a Scottish regiment. "It looks like there is someone stood there."
he said, "I thought it was like a ghost from World War One. A soldier."
His mother said, "We checked his other pictures, and it was just on that
one, just one. It's stood at ground level. Because it is the middle one of
the sequence, it takes away the idea that there must have been a splodge
on there...It didn't look like a German soldier. I thought it just looked out of
place. And then a friend of mine said, do you realize that looks a bit
Scottish, like World War outfits from the Seaforth Highlanders." After looking
into the history of the region, Mitch's family did agree that the shape of the
apparition could resemble that of the kilt and Tam o'Shanter uniform of the
historic Seaforth Highlander regiment.
The Seaforth Highlanders was a historic regiment of the British Army
associated with large areas of the northern Highlands of Scotland.
Neuville-St Vaast is the largest German cemetery in France, containing
44,833 burials, and is located a few hundred meters away from Nine Elms
military cemetery. Buried at Nine Elms are twelve N.C.O'S. and men of the
114th Seaforth Highlanders who fell on the 9th April, 1917.

First: 800 Year Old Monk Found on Cliff!
Weird News 29 April, 2014
The legs bones of an 800-year-old medieval monk have been
discovered, poking out of a cliff face in Wales.
They are badly damaged and missing their knees, shins and
feet, the thigh bones were found after recent storms caused
severe coastal erosion.
They were spotted by Mandy Ewington, who sent a photograph
to coastal archaeologist Karl-James Langford.
Mr Langford, 39, said "I thought she must have been mistaken but
I went down to see for myself and thought: "Bloody hell, this is amazing!
"You can clearly see a grave has been eroded into the sea.

700-Year-Old Poop Barrels smell BAD!
Second: Researchers Say 700-Year-Old Barrels of Medieval Feces
Still Stinks...
Weird News 29 April, 2014
Ther petrified human feces from the 14th century have revealed the
earliest evidence of an long and ongoing fight. Our intestinal bacteria,
were using antibiotics long before people developed drugs like penicillin.
The bacteria that live in your intestines are territorial. When new microbes
arrive, the others fight them off with antibiotics. The invaders respond by
developing immunity to these compounds. So the native bacteria, known
as the microbiome, develop ever stronger antibiotics. This has thought to
have been going on in the human intestine for eons, but scientists have
had little evidence of its history.
After a surprising find in Namur, Belgium. An urban development project
there unearthed a historic find. Human excrement dating to 1996.
Excavation under a town square revealed latrines from the Middle Ages
buried 4 meters deep. Each held sealed barrels of human waste that had
not seen the light of day in 700 years.
A broader diversity of antibiotic resistance genes were observed in the samples.
"It was surprising that the ancient stool had more (antibiotic resistance) genes
than modern stool samples," says Jeremy Barr, a microbiologist at San Diego
State University in California who was not involved with the study. If this specimen
is representative of the time period, then the reduction in these genes over time
may reflect that modern sanitation in food or water supplies have weakened the
defenses of gut bacteria, Barr says.
"Preliminary results of analysis show that raspberries were popular in Odense in
the 1300s. The contents also contain small pieces of moss, leather and fabric
which were used as toilet paper," archeologist Maria Elisabeth Lauridsen said.
The buried latrines are said to have kept their contents in "excellent condition".
That is to say...they smell really bad.

Cliven Bundy News
The Cliven Bundy Ranch Update
Weird News 24 April, 2014
For your Cliven Bundy Ranch Update we have
Cliven Bundy informing the public on Saturday April 12, the
Bureau of Land Management agreed to cease the roundup
of his family's cattle.
This of course, they did for the safety of the people (some armed)
who showed up in support of Mr. Bundy.
For more than a week after federal land managers ceased a
controversial cattle round-up, armed militia members continue
to guard the Bundy Ranch.
These militia members had traveled to the ranch near Mesquite,
Nevada, earlier this month to join other Bundy supporters.
The militia members say their job now is to guard the Bundy family
and property.
The men are perched on the hillsides around the property to survey
the land 24 hours a day.
Militia members also told KLAS News that they suspect federal agents
may be posing as militia members in order to gather information about
the group and possibly conduct a raid.
"The people that are up there, they have a certain look about them.
These are military; my belief is federal agents," said Frank Lindysth,
a former Bundy guard. "They're dirty. They're dirty."
It doesn't sound like it will be long before they begin to turn on one
another.
It has been said that this type of person can also be a bit paranoid
to say the least.
It will be very interesting to see how this all turns out.

Cliven Bundy News
Cliven Bundy VS the Bureau of Land Management
Weird News 22 April, 2014
Standoff: Cliven Bundy VS the Bureau of Land Management
Today we have for you the case of a Nevada rancher Cliven
Bundy, and the potentially very dangerous standoff. Mr. Bundy,
has been in the news for over a week because federal Bureau
of Land Management agents seized his cattle to settle the more
than $1 million in unpaid fines since that have been accumulating
since 1993. Yes, 1 million dollars...
The Federal Bureau of Land Management agents had shown up,
but so had many campers (some armed) to help guard Bundy's
melon farm and cattle ranch more than a week after a tense standoff
between gun-toting states rights advocates and Bureau of Land
Management police over a roundup of Bundy's cattle from public land.
As it stands the Bureau of Land Management police have left...
For now...
It is true that Mr. Bundy claims ancestral rights to the land, but KLAS
News in Las Vegas obtained property records showing that Bundy's
parents purchased the family's ranch in 1948. The Bunkerville, Nevada
ranch has been the site of a tense standoff with the federal government
over Bundy's use of land managed by the Bureau of Land Management.
Those records appear to contradict Bundy's own history of the ranch,
as well as his biography.
"I've lived my lifetime here. My forefathers have been up and down the
Virgin Valley here ever since 1877. All these rights that I claim, have been
created through pre-emptive rights and beneficial use of the forage
and the water and the access and range improvements," Bundy told KLAS
before the government's round up began.
The court records obtained by KLAS indicated the family's cattle didn't begin
grazing the land until 1954. The Bureau of Land Management was created in
1946 (the same year Cliven Bundy was born.)

Park of the Monsters
Park of the Monsters
Weird News 13 April, 2014
dddavids Ghost Cams, Weird News present another true tale. This time it's a place.
Park of the Monsters
Bomarzo is a town and comune of the province of Viterbo (Lazio, central Italy), in the lower valley of the Tiber.
It is located 14.5 km ENE of Viterbo and 68 km NNW of Rome.
It is the Orsini family's hereditary fief. The Castle rises at the edge of this small town.
The Park of the Monsters just outside the city of Bomarzo is a Late Renaissance manieristic garden gallery of sculptures and architecture. Commissioned in the 16th century by Vicino Orsini. It includes also a palace, designed by Baldassarre Peruzzi.
The garden with grotesque stone sculptures of monstrous proportions, depicting mythological personalities and creatures taken from classical fables: Pergasus, Hercules, Neptune, Cera.
Prince Pier Francesco Orsini built the villa in 1552. Mourning the death of his wife, Giulia Farnese. He erected a temple and statuary in her honor on the grounds.
After Vicino Orsini's death nobody cared any longer for this jewel of mannerist art.
After centuries of oblivion has been saved and restored for the joy of intellectuals, men of letters, artists and tourists that come from all over the world to admire this splendid garden.
A visit to the park will unfold in a series of stages ranging between mythology and fantasy.

The supernatural thriller, Haunt
The "Haunt"-ed Morello House...(see Video below)
Weird News 10 April, 2014
Hollywood has long been known for putting out terrifyingly true ghost stories. Many of those Para-normally based stories such as Insidious and Conjuring, became top box office hits.
Next up is "The Haunt". Another true paranormal tale about The Asher family who moves into their dream home. Only to find that it is cursed. Blamed for having caused the deaths of the previous family that occupied it, leaving only the mother as the lone survivor. As we begin, the family's 18-year-old son along with his new neighbor accidentally awaken something in the house, and so goes the tale. The new tenants are about to discover the true story. And they might not live long enough to tell the tale.
The Haunt is loosely based on the paranormal case study on the Morello House.
Within the Morello family four people died in the house, all around in 1984. Mathew Morello, the teenage son, died in a crash soon after receiving a new car for his 16th birthday. The youngest daughter drowned in the family pool. The death was not investigated and was ruled an accident. The oldest child, a teenage daughter, hung herself immediately after the death of her siblings. The death was investigated, and was ruled a suicide. Franklin Morello, the father, died the following week. His death was the most obscure of them all, it was believed that he suffered a nervous breakdown after the tragedies of his children. Angela Morello is believed to still be alive, and living within the same general area. Searching through the local newspapers, there was one reference to her appearing at a friend's funeral in 1994, but other than that, nothing.
A realtor in the area was quoted as saying, "More likely than not, no one will ever live here again." Over time, the Morello House has loomed ever darker, as a source of mystery, fear, sadness, and death. It has been thought that this type of house is an example of an "attractor" -- a place most likely to be haunted.

101 Year Old Message In A Bottle
Message in a Bottle Finally Arrives 101 Years Later...
Weird News 08 April, 2014
A message placed in a bottle that was thrown into the ocean in 1913 was recently found by a fisherman off the coast of Germany and returned to the sender's granddaughter.
"It was very surprising," said Angela Erdmann, 62, to The Guardian. "A man stood in front of my door and told me he had post from my grandfather. He then told me that a message in a bottle was found and that the name that was on the card was that of my grandfather."
The message, found last month by fisherman Konrad Fischer, is largely indecipherable. However, the name and address of the sender - Richard Platz - is still legible, as is his request that the message be forwarded back to him.
Platz wrote the postcard, thought to be the oldest message in a bottle in the world, when he was just 20 years old.
Erdmann never knew Platz, who died at age 54. But she had heard plenty of stories about the man from her mother, his daughter.
"I knew very little about my grandfather, but I found out that he was a writer who was very open minded, believed in freedom and that everyone should respect each other," she said. "He did a lot for the young and later traveled with his wife and two daughters. It was wonderful because I could see where my roots came from."
The postcard will be on display in a German museum.

Ghost app leaves woman scared sick
Ghost app leaves woman scared sick
Weird News 07 April, 2014
A 23-year-old woman from Wuhan, Central China's Hubei Province, recently sought psychiatric help after a smart phone app called the "ghost detector" gave her a very real scare over Tomb-Sweeping day.
The woman, surnamed Wu, claimed to have detected three spirits, an experience that has left her haunted by hallucinations and bouts of insomnia.
The popular app, which scans the area using the phone's video camera, displays a blob-like image in the supposed presence of a ghost.
Hu Honghui, a chief psychiatrist at Hankou Hospital, diagnosed Wu as suffering from phasmophobia, or deep-rooted fear of ghosts. :)
Hu traces Wu's fear back to events in her childhood, including participating in her aunt's funeral and her parents using ghost stories to scare her into behaving. :)
The app comes with an explicit disclaimer saying it was designed for entertainment purposes only.
Many users have warned that those with a strong belief in ghosts should not use such apps, still others suggested that the developer should make the disclaimer more visible.
"Some people really believe in ghosts and the app developer could get in trouble if something serious occurs," said Rentian.
Some also called on parents not to use ghost stories in order to teach children to behave.
"Such trauma could last a lifetime," Madopo wrote on ifeng.com.

Texas hunter captures live chupacabra
Texas couple claim they have caught a live chupacabra!
Weird News 07 April, 2014
A family in Texas claim to have captured a live chupacabra, a mythical creature with a reputation for sucking
blood from livestock across America.
The tale began when Jackie Stock and her husband Bubba discovered a growling, hairless animal in their garden.
Bubba captured the animal and locked it in a cage to allow friends and neighbours to take a look at it although the
couple insist they are feeding it and giving it water.
"We were just trying to figure out what it is because we've never seen anything like it before," Jackie told WMUR.
(Manchester, New Hampshire News>
"He (Bubba) called me to come and look, and I said "Bubba that looks like a baby chupacabra."
Neighbor Arlen Parma is convinced the animal is a chupacabra. "I hunted racoons for 20 years with dogs and I ain't
ever seen anything that looks like that right there." Parma said.
A wildlife expert told the network the animal was more likely to be a dog, fox or coyote with mange.
Descriptions of chupacabra sightings have varied, but many who claim to have seen the cryptid (From Greek kruptos,
hidden, from kruptein, to hide) say it closely resembles a coyote but with a skinny body covered in matted patches
of hair.
The first Chupacabra sightings were reported in Puerto Rico as early as 1995.
In February another Texas family claimed to have caught and killed a chupacabra, although local wildlife experts were
not convinced.
UPDATE:A couple in Ratcliffe, Texas who captured what they believed was a living chupacabra has had the
creature euthanized. :(
On Friday, the couple made the decision to have a local animal shelter put annimal to rest after a DeWitt County game
warden said the animal appeared to have scabies, a contagious disease.

artificial light emanating from Mars
A NASA camera on Mars has captured what appears to be artificial light emanating outward from the planet's surface.
Weird News 07 April, 2014
The photo, beamed millions of miles from Mars to the Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, Calif., was taken
last week, apparently by one of two NASA rovers on the red planet.
Although the space agency hasn't issued any official statement yet about the phenomenon, bloggers and NASA
enthusiasts have started chiming in.
Scott C. Waring, who maintains the website UFO Sightings Daily, posted the photo April 6.
Waring noted that the light shines upward, as if from the ground, and is very flat across the bottom.

Ship lands on the moon in the 1950's
A moon landing is the arrival of a spacecraft on the surface of the Moon. This includes both manned and unmanned (robotic) missions. The first human-made object to reach the surface of the Moon was the Soviet Union's Luna 2 mission, on 13 September 1959.

The United States' Apollo 11 was the first manned mission to
land on the Moon, on 20 July 1969. There have been six
manned U.S. landings (between 1969 and 1972) and
numerous unmanned landings, with no soft landings
happening from 1976 until 14 December 2013.

HAARP High Frequency Active Auroral Research Program
HAARP:
The High Frequency Active Auroral Research Program (HAARP)
is an ionospheric research program jointly funded by the U.S. Air
Force, the U.S. Navy, the University of Alaska, and the Defense
Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA). Designed and
built by BAE Advanced Technologies (BAEAT), its purpose is to
analyze the ionosphere and investigate the potential for developing
ionospheric enhancement technology for radio communications and
surveillance. The HAARP program operates a major sub-arctic facility,
named the HAARP Research Station, on an Air Force owned site
near Gakona, Alaska.
The most prominent instrument at the HAARP Station is the Ionospheric
Research Instrument (IRI), a high-power radio frequency transmitter
facility operating in the high frequency (HF) band. The IRI is used to
temporarily excite a limited area of the Ionosphere. Other instruments,
such as a VHF and a UHF radar, a fluxgate magnetometer, a digisonde
(an ionospheric sounding device), and an induction magnetometer, are
used to study the physical processes that occur in the excited region.
Work on the HAARP Station began in 1993. The current working IRI was
completed in 2007, and its prime contractor was BAE Systems Advanced
Technologies. As of 2008, HAARP had incurred around $250 million in
tax-funded construction and operating costs. It was reported to be
temporarily shut down in May 2013, awaiting a change of contractors.
HAARP is a target of conspiracy theorists, who claim that it is capable of
modifying weather, disabling satellites and exerting mind control over people,
and that it is being used as a weapon against terrorists. Such theorists have
blamed the program for causing earthquakes, droughts, storms and floods,
diseases such as Gulf War Syndrome and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, the
1996 crash of TWA Flight 800, and the 2003 destruction of the space shuttle
Columbia. Commentators and scientists say that proponents of these theories
are "uninformed", as most theories put forward fall well outside the abilities of
the facility and often outside the scope of natural science.
